Our Team
How We Work
Our reasons for becoming financial professionals are deeply personal. We repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. We are confident that with our understanding of personal finance, coupled with our training as financial professionals, we can help people better prepare for the future. After years in the business, we have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives. We feel a commitment to our community.
Our team approach adds perspective to all we do and provides increased benefits to our clients.

Jerald L Aloof, CRPC® RFC®
Managing Director | LPL Financial Advisor
“Jerry” has been a Financial Advisor since 1986. After beginning his career with EF Hutton and Co. in New York City’s financial district, he eventually moved to a central New Jersey branch office of Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc. to develop client relationships closer to his home. It was at Dean Witter that Jerry met and teamed up with his business partner, David Mattos in 1990. While at Dean Witter, Jerry earned the title of Associate Vice President – Investments. He also completed the Dean Witter Graduate School programs in Retirement Planning and Asset Allocation.
In 1993, Dave and Jerry moved their practice to UBS PaineWebber. At UBS PaineWebber, Jerry earned the title of Vice President – Investments. He also earned the title of Investment Management Consultant by completing the PaineWebber School of Business’ program in Economics, Equity Valuation, Fixed Income and Asset Allocation.
As the financial industry was moving more toward independent investment advice, in 2003, after ten years with UBS PaineWebber, Jerry formed JL Aloof Financial Services, LLC. With his many years of experience helping investors pursue their financial goals, Jerry has developed a successful practice focusing on retirement investing and income. Jerry earned the designation of RFC® from the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants in 2004 and the designation of CRPC® (Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor*) from the College for Financial Planning in 2018.
